Not a lot to say tonight. We travelled from Lancaster to Columbia (not too from Washington DC). We have settled into the hotel (which is really nice) and the rest of the family have gone to the shops. I decided to stay at the hotel.

(a) Yesterday being 11th Sept., all American flags were at half-mast. Americans are certainly more patriotic than us with their flags - there are American flags everywhere all the time - houses, letterboxes, cars, public places - everywhere.
(b) Jordan (yesterday) at an Amish farm (there were also goats, hens and chickens).
(c) This morning on the way to Columbia we stopped at the Herr's Potato Chip factory and went on a tour. Really interesting and we all got 2 packets of chips at the end! "Chipper" is their mascot.
Tomorrow we go into Washington DC itself.
